Violet Gregory, 83, of Washington C.H., died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Hearth & Care of Greenfield.
She was born March 31, 1927 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Cloise and Edith (Wise) Jones.
She was a homemaker and was also employed at the U.S. Shoe Factory of Greenfield during the 1960s. She was a 1945 graduate of Leesburg High School.
She is survived by a son, John (Karen) Gregory of Beavercreek; one daughter, Jeannie (Tom) Williams of Washington C.H.; two grandchildren, Amanda (Randy) Robbins of Greenfield and Rebekah Williams of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Jett, Evelyn, and Case Robbins; and one brother, John W. (Yvonne) Jones of Tylersville, Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bill" Gregory, on Oct. 18, 1994; one brother, Floyd Jones; and two sisters, Betty Chain and Sara Jones.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Greenfield Cemetery. No visitation will be observed. The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
