Victor Irwin Crum, 69, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 27, 1942 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Chester and Minnie Yankey Crum.
Vic had worked as a machinist for the General Motors Corporation for 30 years. He was a graduate of Belfast High School and had served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Yarger Crum, whom he had married on Jan. 13, 1968 in Hillsboro; two sons, Doug and Brian Crum of Hillsboro; one grandson, Joshua Crum of Hillsboro; one brother, Dale (Julie) Crum of Dayton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Northa Ward and Janice Simmons and one brother, Calvin Crum.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Phil Fulton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
