Thomas Dewey McDaniel, 63, of Hillsboro, died Saturday evening, June 4, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born April 16, 1948 in Columbus, the son of the late Roy S. and Pearl Skeens McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel was a retired construction worker.

He is survived by his companion, Gladys Rader of Hillsboro; four sisters, Dixie (Fred) Bauman of Brewton, Ala., Beulah (Tom) Reiser of Orient, Ohio, Cathy (Guy) Crago of Logan, Ohio and Candy (Keith) McMullen of Otter Lake, Mich.; four brothers, Roy James McDaniel of Logan, Ohio, Steve (Chris) McDaniel of Logan, Randy (Brenda) McDaniel of Patriot, Ohio and Jeff (Joyce) McDaniel of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John W. McDaniel.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory in Hillsboro.
