Terri Lynn (Finley) Ervin, 43, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly and went to heaven Friday evening, Dec. 7, 2012 at her home.

She was born Jan. 13, 1969, in Springfield, the daughter of Kathy Nicholes of Hillsboro.

She was a 1988 Hillsboro High School graduate. Terri was a very kindhearted and loving person to family and friends and enjoyed helping others any way she could. She also loved all animals and enjoyed cleaning and decorating.

On Dec. 6, 2009, she married her husband, John Mark Ervin, and he survives.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lindsey Finley of Hillsboro; a stepdaughter, Amanda Ervin, and a stepson, Joey Ervin, both of Georgetown; a brother, Tim (Angie) Hamm of Hillsboro; four aunts, Ann, Gail, Lisa and Patty; three nieces, Dessiray, Ashlee and Olivia Hamm, all of Hillsboro; special friends Pam Linsey of Sardinia, Tammy Thompson, Pam Zimmerman and Dawn Sears, all of Hillsboro; and a great-uncle, James "Jim" McQuitty of Hillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Bobbie Nicholes; and grandparents, Elmer and Margaret Melvin.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Realife Church, 230 W. South Street, Hillsboro. Pastor Anthony "Skip" Skipworth will officiate. A meal in Terri's memory will be held at the church following services, so those attending are encouraged to bring a covered dish.
