Susan Ann “Susie” Peck, 67, of New Vienna, died Friday, March 25, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

She was born Jan. 7, 1944 in Harwood, the daughter of the late Clifford and Viola Wallace Dean.

She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa K. Peck of New Vienna and Patricia Peck Ford of Wilmington; grandchildren, Salena, Kawliga, Chelsea, Brandon, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Sky, Abbey, Kaitlyn, Aliah, and Ariakan; sisters, Mildred Wilson of Georgia, Rosetta Barber of Mt. Orab, Cora Shively of Lynchburg, and Hazel Davis of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Daisy Young and Genevieve Peck; and six brothers, John T. Dean, Floyd Dean, Delbert Dean, George Dean, Clifford Dean, Jr., and Roy Allen Dean.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home.
