Steven Forrest Schultz

Steven Forrest Schultz, 61, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.

Born in Cincinnati, he lived most of his life in Clarksville. He graduated from Clinton-Massie High School in 1969. During a 2012 ceremony, he was inducted into the Clinton-Massie Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a varsity football, basketball and baseball player. After graduation, he attended a Heavy Equipment and Construction Operator School in Florida. He spent many years working as a land surveyor throughout Clinton County. He also enjoyed farming, hunting, collecting artifacts and antique bottles, camping, playing euchre and spending time with his family. He had an unforgettable laugh you usually heard after he 'got one over on you.'

He is survived by his loving partner, Sharon Schultz; son, Todd (Suzanne) Schultz of West Point, N.Y.; daughter Holly (Paul) Young of Wilmington; son Mick (Hillary) Schultz of Wilmington; son Rick Schultz of Clarksville; sister Mary Jo (Tommy) Riley of Calvert City, Ky.; very special family friend, Billie Wilson of Wilmington; and grandchildren, Chelsea and Nicholas Young of Wilmington, Lillian, Jackson, Jacob, James and Josiah Schultz of Wilmington and Ashley and Hunter Schultz of West Point, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Schultz, and his father, Joe Schultz.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held Saturday, Dec. 29 from 2-6 p.m. at the Clarksville Gym (Vernon Township Hall). Come share your memories with his family and friends as they celebrate his life.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the individuals from the Community Care Hospice. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care during his last few days were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. The family thanks God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time spent with him.
