Stephen Charles Voss, 63, of Leesburg, passed to our Lord’s hands, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at his residence surrounded by loving family.
He was born Jan. 19, 1947 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Herman and Catherine Alback Voss.
Steve retired from United Parcel Service after 32 years of service. He was an active member of the Kairos Prison Ministries and attended the East Monroe United Methodist Church. Steve fought a long and courageous two-year battle with brain cancer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
On Aug. 9, 1986, he married Susan Ann Puthoff Voss, who survives. Steve and Susan had four children: the late Emily Voss, and surviving Stephen Curtis Voss, Katelyn Marie Voss, and Jaysen Reilly Voss. He is also survived by children Mark Voss, Amy Marazzi, Ann Scuilli, Greg Voss, Jon Voss and Andrew Voss; and 18 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Herman and Catherine Voss and daughter Emily, he was preceded in death by one brother Larry Voss.
A memorial service will be held at the Leesburg United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. Rev. Tom Knauff will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. at the church. Memorial donations are directed to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. The Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg, is serving the family.
