Stanley Michael Greene, 49, of Greenfield, went home to be with our heavenly father and his family Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the home of his sister, Rose Barnes, who cared for Michael.
He was born Sept. 26, 1961 in Greenfield, the son of Stanley and Mamia Lee (Howland) Greene.
He was a former employee of Greenfield Research and Randall's Textron of Wilmington.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Louella (Oyer) Greene, whom he married Dec. 3, 1981; three sons, Michael (Tracy Troxell) Greene of Peebles, Matthew (Christy Henderson) Greene of Greenfield and Shawn (Melissa) Greene of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; one sister, Rose (Perry) Barnes of Greenfield; three brothers, Kenneth "Rowdy" (Jae Fugett) Greene, Terry (Robin Jeffers) Sims and Gary Sims, all of Greenfield; eight nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Michael Barnes of Greenfield; and very special friend Rachael Beatty of Greenfield, who also cared for Michael.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Kay Greene, and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Allan Hunt and Rev. Bill Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
