Ruth Moore, 74, of Wilmington, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012.

She was born July 10, 1938 in New Vienna, the daughter of the late Sterley and Anna (Smalley) Newman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Gene" Moore, on Dec. 2, 2002; five brothers, Donald, Ronald, Ed, Steve and Bob Newman; and two sisters, Wilma Lightner and Della Linkhart.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of God.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Todd and Paige Moore of New Vienna, and Jeff and Jeannie Moore of San Diego, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Leanne and Bob Comberger of Wilmington, Pam Moore of Wilmington, Brenda and Tony Ross of Chillicothe, and Jenny Moore of Wilmington; one sister, Juanita Highley of Leesburg; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.
