     Ruth Ann Allen, 65, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at her residence.
     She was born Oct. 24, 1944, the daughter of the late Forest L. and Norma Jean (Dodds) Hill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Hill.
     Ruth Ann was a member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. She was very devoted to her family and had a love for horses.
     On March 5, 1965, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Allen, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Herb Bowman of Hillsboro; two brothers and sister-in-law, John Hill of Hillsboro and Richard and Kathy Hill of Kettering; a sister-in-law, Dianne Allen of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins.
     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, 127 South West Street, Hillsboro. 
     Burial will follow in the Bridges Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
