Russell Lansing, 55, of Peebles, died Monday, Dec. 31,2012 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 21, 1957 in Pike County, the son of the late Emory and Juanita (Beekman) Lansing.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and David Lansing.

He was a graduate of Western Pike High School and worked in timber.

He is survived by a daughter, Heidi Owens of Jasper; three grandchildren, Landon, Logan and Ian Owens; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Basil and Marie Lansing of Peebles, Everett and Grace Lansing of Elm Grove and Kevin Lansing of Peebles; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores and Wilson Tong of Peebles and Deborah and Davy Tong of Peebles.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteoak Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
