Robert W. Noschang, 69, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1942 in Cincinnati, the son of the late William A. and Grace Stith Noschang.

Mr. Noschang was a retired employee of the General Motors Corporation. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Georgetown Antique Machinery Club.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Speakman Noschang, who he had married June 5, 1982 in the Chapel-In-The-Woods at the Rocky Fork State Park near Hillsboro; three sons, Keith  (Paula) Noschang of Bethel, Michael (Lynette) Noschang of Cincinnati, and Steven (Erin) Noschang of Williamsburg; two stepsons, Brad (Melissa Nichols) Caraway and Brent Caraway, both of Hillsboro; one stepdaughter, Misty (Steve) Louderback of Hillsboro; one brother, David (Sue) Noschang of Owenton, Ky.; his mother-in-law, Ruby Gregory of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 at the AmVets Post 61, 11541 North Shore Road, Hillsboro. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
