Robert L. "Red" Raike, 81, of Greenfield, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.

He was born Nov. 3, 1929 in Portsmouth, the son of the late Charles Garrett and Sarah Louise Armstrong Raike.

He retired in 1988 from Cincinnati Milacron after 36 years of service. He was a 1948 graduate of McClain High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of Greenfield Lodge #318, Free and Accepted Masons, and Greenfield Chapter #133, and Royal Arch Masons.

On July 26, 1952, he married Gloria Lee Allen, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Daniel R. (Ellen) Raike and Charles T. (Christine) Raike, both of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Matt, Scott (Jaci), and Nick Raike; a great-grandson, Cade Raike; and two brothers, Charles W. (Jerri) Raike of Sabina and David F. Raike of Greenfield.

Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday March 19, 2011 at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home in Greenfield with Otis Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
