Robert Eugene Woods, 55, of Greenfield passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at his home, as the result of a home fire.

He was born in Bainbridge on March 13, 1957, the son of Roosevelt and Alberta (Woods) Hackworth.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was disabled from an automobile accident in 1987. He had been a landscaper. He was a 1975 graduate of Paint Valley High School.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Howard) Woods, whom he married on Sept. 17, 1974; one daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Davison of Washington C.H.; one son, Robert Alva Woods of Washington C.H.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Annette (Sturgil Lowman) Wafford, Patty (Fred Bailey) Hackworth, Christy (Stacy) Ward, Sheryl Hackworth, and Missy Branyord; four brothers, Randy (Danita), Richard (Sherryl), Steve (Rose), and Eric (Lisa) Hackworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Hackworth; and both parents.

Cremation will take place and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at the Anchor Baptist Church, 456 Jamison Road, Washington C.H., Ohio 43160.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family, to the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
