Robert Eugene Kinnison, 90, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 15, 1920 in Greenfield, the son of the late James Everett and Sarah Jane (Yates) Kinnison.
He was retired from Rockwell International in Columbus, was a member of Paint Aerie #1329, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Bainbridge Post #14, American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Sarah Elizabeth Jordan, on May 11, 1988, and his second wife, the former Betty Purdy Hauck, on May 5, 2008.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis Ann Kisling of Greenfield and Gary Wayne (Marti) Kinnison of Bainbridge; step-children Raymond (Heike) Hauck of Kansas, Linda (Bill) Elliott of Greenfield and Darlene Ivers of Greenfield; grandchildren Andrea (Daniel) Fyffe, Sara (Scott Martin) Kinnison, Cliff (Sandy) Kinnison, Troy (Vickie) Kinnison, Tracy (David) Cline and Ken (Sara) Kisling; 21 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David E. and Robert C. Kinnison; an infant daughter; a brother, David Kinnison; five sisters, Bessie Boggs, Minnie Price, Betty Secrests, Georgia Gregg and Irene Holt; and a step-daughter, Bonnie Hurley.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 6 at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home in Greenfield. The Rev. Bruce Hines will officiate, and burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery.[[In-content Ad]]
