Robert Elam “Robbie” Short, Jr., 37, of Hillsboro, died unexpectedly March 1, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Wilmington on March 25, 1973, the son of Robert E. Short, Sr. and the late Phyllis Williams Short.

Besides his father, he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Chuck Dillon of Hillsboro; one brother, Kevin Short of Hillsboro; one nephew, Charlie Dillon; and one niece, Sara Dillon.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no visitation.

The Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
