Rick Collett, 55, of Lynchburg, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 17, 1956 in Dayton, Ky., the son of the late Carlos C. and Margaret Murray Collett.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He had worked at FULFLO Specialties in Blanchester for more than 33 years and was an avid Bengals fan.
He is survived by four children, daughter, Crystal Collett of Batavia, and three sons, Richard (Angela) Collett of Batavia, Aaron Collett of Midland, and Mike Collett of Wilmington; grandchildren, Lav, Renea, Erin, Patience, Eddie, Timmy, Teala, Samantha, Barbara, Amelia, Michael, Rebecca, Hannah, and Lukas; best friend and companion Susan Wilson; sisters, Dorathy (Wayne) Teboe of Hillsboro, Ramona (Mike) Lengefeld of Hillsboro, Betty (Steve) Street of Arkansas, and Brenda Booker of Alabama; and brothers David (Karen) Hayslip of Hillsboro, Robert (Tammy) Collett of Wilmington, Donald (Becky) Collett of Idaho, Randy (Cindy) Lewis of Washington C.H., and Mike Stewart of Florida.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 15 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the Clinton Memory Gardens on Center Road near Wilmington. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
