Phillip Nelson Dickey, 66, of Circleville (formerly of Hillsboro) died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born June 9, 1946 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Frank and Phyllis Faul Dickey.

Mr. Dickey was a radio personality, writer and actor. He had been with the production, Tecumseh in Chillicothe for several years and had been published under the pen name, Philo.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by one sister, Bonnie Barton of Hillsboro; three brothers, Garry “Deke” Dickey of Tennessee, Frank and Larry Dickey of California and several nieces and nephews.

Military services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Dayton. There will be no visitation.

The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
