Pearl William Grove, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

He was born in Cedarville on March 25, 1928, the son of the late Hoyt F. Gray and Helen Morris.  

He was retired from International Harvestor in Springfield, veteran serving in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife Beverly (Reedy) Grove whom he married on April 21, 1956; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay & Vera Grove of Hillsboro; one daughter, Gina Gray of Hillsboro; one sister, Peggy Truman of Griffin, Ga.; one stepbrother, Martin (Kay) Miller of New Mexico; two stepsisters, Mary Carol (Orlo) Freshly of Zanesville and Margie (Dan) Clinger of Milan, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Constance Burns of Dublin, Ohio; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law, Vicki Lynn & Leslie Funk of Columbus; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted father, Richard Grove; stepfather, Elmer Miller; one great-granddaughter, Emma Howard; three brothers, Charles, James and Zaugn Miller; and one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law, Alton and Eunice Reedy.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2013 under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro at the Fairview Cemetery at Mutual, Ohio near Urbana.

The family wants to thank the Hillsboro Regional Dialysis Group, Heartland of Hillsboro and Dr. David Gunderman.
