Paula Belle Stevens, 80, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on July 11, 1930 in Whick, Ky., the daughter of Orlando and Grace Belle (Collier) Chambers.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard T. Stevens, in 1971, and one sister, Brackie Walker.
She was a member of the Folsom United Methodist Church, Hillsboro Chapter #441 OES and American Red Cross; a graduate of Berea College; and had worked for 50 years in primary nursing care.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Toney and Amy Stevens of Lake City, Tenn. and Craig and Heidi Stevens of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Maggie, Anton, Felicia and Jake; four brothers, Lowell Chambers of Hillsboro, Lando Jean Chambers of Hillsboro, George E. Chambers of Hillsboro and Eldon R. Chambers of Florida; three sisters, Rae Willis of Hillsboro, Billie Jane Smith of Hillsboro and Patricia Leach of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
