Paul W. Faust was born on Nov. 8, 1922 in Pricetown, Ohio.
He died on March 17, 2011 at The Laurels in Hillsboro at the age of 88.
He was the son of Worth F. and Pauline J. Patton Faust, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, John and Roger.
He lived his entire life on the home farm in the Pricetown community until 2005, when health issues caused him to move into The Laurels.
He is survived by his wife, June Orebaugh Faust, to whom he had been married for nearly 65 years.
He is also survived by his three sons, Jim (Karen) of Pricetown, John (Cyndi) of Katy, Texas, and David (Candy) of Cincinnati.
In addition, he leaves eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The grandchildren include Mark Faust (Jessica), Todd Faust (Tiffany), Robb Faust (Brenda), Rich Faust, Kelly Faust, Matt Faust, Michelle Webster (Charles), and Melinda McCulloch (Peter).
Paul graduated from Lynchburg High School in 1940. He was a dairy and crop farmer and he was very involved in the church and community activities. He was a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ, where he served for many years as a teacher, deacon, and elder. He took two church mission trips to Haiti and Venezuela, and he toured the Holy Land areas of Israel, Greece, and Jordan. He was a long-time member of Farm Bureau, and he served as State Trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation for many years. He was a member of the Cincinnati Milk Sales Board of Directors, the Highland County Landmark Board, and the Highland County Health Board.
A visitation will be on Monday, March 21, from 5-8 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in the Barker Cemetery at Pricetown. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Pricetown Church of Christ Missions Fund at 2070 SR 131, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
