Patty Ann Bowling, 69, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Home in West Union.
She was born June 6, 1941, in Nashville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Emmit and Katherine (Botkins) Wilson.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church, and had been the secretary for and a member of the Young At Heart Seniors group at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
On June 24, 2001, in Montgomery County, she married her husband of nearly 10 years, Rettig Bowling, and he survives. She is also survived by four sons, Tim Schmitt of Englewood, Douglas Schmitt of Hillsboro, Kevin Schmitt of Brookville, and Steven Schmitt of Kentucky; four step-children, Gregory (Dinah) Bowling of Hillsboro, Katrina Sturgell of Hillsboro, Philip (Kathy) Bowling of Hillsboro and Ronald (Cheryl) Bowling of Riverside; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Wilson of Hillsboro, as well as three aunts and one uncle.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
The Rev. Dan Lamb will officiate.
