Omar Glaze Humphreys, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
He was born Dec. 3, 1945 in Sinking Spring, the son of Forest Omar Humphreys and Pauline Glaze Humphreys. He is preceded in death by his father, Forest.
Omar attended Sinking Spring School and graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Fla. Omar retired from General Motors and owned and operated a mowing business.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Humphreys Williams of Hillsboro; two sisters, Shirley Ann (Ron) Shelton of Beavercreek and Jane (Jack) Stowers of Hillsboro; two nieces, Sonya Brown of Beavercreek and Glenda (David) Puckett of Hillsboro; one nephew, Timothy (Sherri) Helterbrand of Hillsboro; several great nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring. John Porter will officiate services. No visitation will be held.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
