Nora J. Barnett, 87, of Hillsboro, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2011 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born Aug. 30, 1923 in Columbus, a daughter of the late Cary Walter and Nora Marie (Mitchell) Cartwright.
She had retired from the Kroger Company after 26 years of service and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and mother-in-law.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Plante and her husband Martin of Newport News, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Barnett on Oct. 11, 2005.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
