Mary Katherine Shepler, 96, of Hillsboro died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. 
She was born Sept. 13, 1913 in Rainsboro, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Madge Rittenhouse Brown. 
Mrs. Shepler was a retired school teacher. 
She is survived by one niece, Kay (Jim) Payton of Davenport, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen H. Shepler; two brothers, Paul E. “Pete” Brown and Joseph Brown; and a nephew, David Brown. 
Mrs. Shepler had bequeathed her body to the University of Cincinnati. There will be no services observed. The Turner & Son Funeral Home assisted the family.
