Martha "Sue" Welch, 80, of Sabina, formerly of Greenfield, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Autumn Years Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Sabina.

She was born December 24, 1930 in Cynthiana, Ky., the daughter of Harold Laytart and Ruth Ann Weller Laytart.

She retired from the U.S. Shoe Corp. in Greenfield after a 35-year career. She was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.

Mrs. Welch is survived by two sons, Roger Wayne Welch of Cincinnati and Ronald Lee Welch of Chillicothe; one daughter, Robin Lynne Barrett of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Brock (Meagan) Barrett of Columbus, Karee Barrett of Jamestown, Kerry Welch, Cory Welch, Scott Welch and Karol Leach (Lvonne Adams) of Greenfield; two brothers, Ray Laytart of Paris, Ky. and Howard Lewis Laytart of Hazard, Ky.; and three sisters, Ethel Barnes of Paris, Ky., Mary Laytart of Berry, Ky. and Dee Laytart of Kentucky.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with pastor Bill Requardt officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.[[In-content Ad]]
