Margaret E. Ludwick, 92, of Hillsboro, died Saturday morning, April 24, 2010 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born Jan. 23, 1918 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late James Henry and Clara Engbers Winegardner.
Mrs. Ludwick had worked for the Hillsboro City Schools for several years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 129 Auxiliary, Hillsboro Emblem Club 277, and St. Mary Rosary Altar Society, and had been a member of the Palm Twig.
She is survived by one daughter, Leslie Ramsey of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, John Nicholas “Nick” (Christie Florence) Ramsey of Hillsboro and Alison (Edward Adams) Ramsey of Cincinnati; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Alexander VanBrocklin, Abigail VanBrocklin and Elizabeth Stephenson; one sister, June Estle of Hillsboro; one niece, Kathy (Frank) Sharp of Hillsboro; three nephews, Danny (Betty) Estle of Wilmington, Bill (Kate) Winegardner of Batavia, and Michael (Amy) Winegardner of Cincinnati; one great-niece, Jennifer Sharp of New Orleans, La., and five great-nephews, Cody Estle of Chicago, Christopher Winegardner of Batavia, Matthew Winegardner of Batavia, Peter Winegardner of Batavia and Henry Winegardner of Cincinnati.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Jackson Ludwick, on Jan. 7, 1967; one sister, Kathryn Winegardner; and two brothers, James Henry “Hank” Winegardner and William Winegardner, Sr.  
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mike Paraniuk at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Emblem Club services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
