Lowell E. “Pete” Williamson, 77, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born May 18, 1934 in Adams County, the son the late Walter Williamson and Lucille (Chenoweth) Williamson of Sinking Spring.
Pete attended the Carmel Church of God and worked as a fabricator, welder and operator of equipment.
On Oct. 20, 1959, he was united in marriage to Louise (Potts) Williamson, who survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Lucille Williamson; three sons, Lowell T. “Tom” Williamson of Bellevue, Ohio, Ernest E. (Shelley) Williamson of Latham and Timothy L. Williamson of Hillsboro; two daughters, Barbara L. Wagoner of Waverly, and Brenda Sue (Jeff) Bishop of Hillsboro; a stepson, Virgil Potts of Hillsboro; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Jesse Williamson of West Union, Billy Williamson of Hillsboro, Danny Williamson of Peebles, Paul Williamson of Sinking Spring, Charles Williamson of Crystal River, Fla. and Bert Williamson of Newark, Ohio; and four sisters, Dessie McCann, Nellie Potts and Gladys Burns, all of Peebles, and Esther Long of Newark, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Carmel Church of God. Pastor Shane Denney will officiate with burial to follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Carmel Church of God.
