Leah Mae Mootispaw, 18, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 4, 2012 at OSU Medical Center of Columbus as the result of an accident.
She was born Sept. 24, 1993, in Washington C.H., the daughter of Anthony W. and Melinda Kaye (Crum) Mootispaw.
She was employed at Sugar Creek Packing of Washington C.H. and attended Miami Trace High School. She enjoyed attending church, singing, riding her bicycle and spending time at the library and with friends.
She is survived by her fiancé, Joseph Kurnute of Washington C.H.; parents, Anthony and Melinda Mootispaw of Leesburg; one sister, Lindsey Kaye (Robert) Juliano of Jeffersonville; two nephews, Jacob and Anthony Joseph; grandparents, Pearl and Naomi Mootispaw of Buena Vista, Linda Boles of Leesburg, Dick and Sue Crum of Greenfield; aunts and uncles, Kirk (Bonnie) Mootispaw of Greenfield, Stayce (Bobby) Ault of Washington C.H., Wade (Angel) Mootispaw of Washington C.H., Ritchie (Stephanie) Crum of Leesburg, Heath (Angie) Crum of Bourneville and Samantha (Chris Brewer) Pummel of Hillsboro; numerous cousins; and special friend, Tesla Graham of Washington C.H.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, with Rev. Kirk Mootispaw officiating and burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses, in care of: Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson St., Greenfield, OH 45123.
