Kenneth E. (Kenny) Beatty
Kenneth E. (Kenny) Beatty, 69, of Greenfield passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Hearth and Care Rehabilitation & Nursing of Greenfield.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1943 in Highland County, the son of, Frank and Velma (Rhodes) Beatty.
He was a truck driver for 28 years and served in the National Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post 4736 and F.O.E Aerie 1325.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Cottrell) Beatty, whom he married on June 8, 1963; two daughters, Michelle (Eric) Prater and Lori (David) Johnson; one son, Kenneth (Heather) Beatty, Jr.; one grandson, Steven (Ceara Boyd) Wisecup; one granddaughter, Katelyn Johnson; numerous special nieces and nephews; and one special brother-in-law, Carl Dean Cottrell.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Russell, Bob, Floyd, Frank, Fred, and one in infancy; four sisters, Virginia Penn, Bette Pummell, Peg Lightle, and Patricia Pryor; and both parents.
Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Randy Beatty officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Tuesday until time of service.
The family invites everyone to the VFW Ranch, 12868 Watt Road, Greenfield after the service on Tuesday for food and fellowship.
Memorials may be made to any Fifth Third Bank in memory of Kenneth E. Beatty.
