Kenneth Dale Beatty
Kenneth Dale Beatty, 69, of Pricetown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Highland District Hospital.
Kenny was born Oct. 31, 1956 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was a lifelong resident of Pricetown and lived near his sister, parents and grandparents with whom he had strong family bond and raised his own family later in life.
He was known for his kind heart, steady presence, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether spending time with family, camping with friends at Shady Trails Campground; enjoying the simple pleasures of country life like planting tobacco, raising pigs, cattle and chickens, playing his guitar; and coaching little league sports. Kenny found joy in the people around him and you could always count on him to be a comedian. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and unwavering love for those closest to him.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose love and guidance touched the lives of many. His greatest happiness came from spending time and creating memories with those he loved like vacationing with friends; bi-annual golf retreats; family stays at Snowshoe, state lodges, and Ocean Isle; and watching grandkids’ sporting events.
Retirement life treated Kenny well, he enjoyed working part-time at DN Equipment; watching sunrises off the front porch with coffee each morning; a bus trip out west with Roxie; and mowing yards and winter plowing around Pricetown.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Bridget Roxanne (Paul) Beatty, whom he married on Sept. 9, 1979; his children, Elishia (Mark) Breetz, Howard (Melinda) Creighton and Nicholas (Brittni) Beatty; his cherished grandchildren, Madysyn (Rebekah) Groden, Gavin (Christina) Creighton, Kayla Beatty, Rylee Beatty, and Parker Beatty; his sister, Venita (Greg) Minton; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, dear co-workers from DN Equipment and Packaging Resources/Huhtamaki, and the many lifelong friends he made during seventeen wonderful years at Shady Trails Campsite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dwendolyn (Paynter) Beatty.
Visitation will be held at the Pricetown Church of Christ on Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1 p.m. Daryl Mount and Jeff Campbell will officiate. The public is invited to a meal prepared in Ken’s honor that will immediately follow the cemetery committal service in the Pricetown Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. The family hopes all will attend for food and fellowship.
Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, hospice staff and caregivers at the Highland District Hospital, whose compassion and care brought Kenny comfort during his final weeks. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Kenny’s legacy of love, kindness and quiet strength in all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
