Julia Margene Boyd, 60, of Hillsboro, formerly of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening, May 8, 2011.
She was born July 14, 1950 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Belle Wheaton Simmons.
She is survived by her husband James Boyd, hero of her life.
She is also survived by her son Scott Boyd and daughters Carla Boyd and Leslie Hermann, along with granddaughter Josephine Penelope Hermann and siblings Gary Simmons, Rex Simmons and Melinda Shipton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her oldest brother Lanny Simmons; and her two friends Dean and Brenda Page begin the list of many close friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Bainbridge Church of Christ. Steve Alexander will officiate. Burial will follow in the Samantha Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the church.
