Juanita R. Murray, 97, formerly of Greenfield, died Feb. 24, 2011 at her home in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
She was born Nov. 29, 1913, the daughter of Aaron and Anna Nora Roe.
She was past president, treasurer, and lifetime member of Post 298 of the American Legion of Greenfield, lifetime member of the Red Hat Society, and lifetime member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and her husband of 62 years, Richard L. Murray.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Raymond) Murray Bowles of Columbus; three grandchildren, Chad Bowles, Richard Bowles, and Jennie Ratliff; and seven great-grandchildren, Karen, Katilynn, and Chad Bowles, Jr., Kristina and Kyle Towner, Carson Ratliff, and Alex Jones.
Friends may call at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield, on Saturday, March 12 from noon until 2 p.m. with service immediately following. The Rev. James Groves will officiate, and interment will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.[[In-content Ad]]
