John Craig Bryant, 85, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday afternoon at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman.
He was born May 22, 1925 in Belfast, the son of the late Noah Albert and Nina Helena Hurst Bryant.
Mr. Bryant had taught school for 30 years and had retired from Hillsboro High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Leaverton Bryant; two sons, David (Sarah) Bryant of Peebles and Duncan Bryant of Hillsboro; and two grandsons, Daniel and Dennis Bryant of Peebles.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29th at the Prospect United Methodist Church. Robert D. Hottle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
