Jerry M. Campbell, 62, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday evening, June 28, 2011 at the Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1949, in Bremen, Ga., a son of the late George and Evelyn (Rush) Campbell.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired truck driver.
On May 16, 1975, in Hillsboro, he married his wife of 36 years, Karen (Wisemandle) Campbell, and she survives.
He is also survived by four children, Jennica Stout of Dayton, Jason Allen Campbell and his wife Debra, Jeffery Michael Campbell and Jerry Matthew Campbell, all of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Campbell, Brenden Charles Campbell, Brandon Campbell and Mattie Campbell, all of Dayton, and Jacob Ryan Campbell and Brooklynne Nichole Campbell, both of Hillsboro; three brothers, George Edward (Peggy) Campbell of Springfield, Danny Jo (Carol) Campbell of Enon and John Lawrence (Sandy) Campbell of South Charleston, Ohio; and two sisters, Nellie (Larry) Andrews of Hillsboro and Charlotte (Steven) Price of Yellow Springs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Roger Campbell.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. Funeral services will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
