James Shawn Pagett
James Shawn Pagett, 39, of New Vienna, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1973 in Wilmington, the son of Wendell Danny Pagett and Lynn Wallace Pagett.
He was an avid motorcycle rider, loved poker runs, was a truck driver and a C.B. enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife, Kelly Nicole Pinkerton Pagett of New Vienna, whom he married Nov. 26, 2005; daughter, Kaycie (Zak Bennett) Pagett; son, Ethan Michael Wayne Roberts; son, James Shawn Pagett Jr.; grandchild, Drayden Bennett; father, Wendell Danny (Sue) Pagett of Clarksville; mother, Lynn (Lee) Swearingen of Wilmington; mother-in-law, Sheila Pinkerton; brother, Danny (Angela) Pagett of Lynchburg; brother, DeWayne (Teresa) Pagett; sister, Donna Howell; brother, Brian (Kristi) Maynard; brother, Doug (Kelly) Maynard; sister, Brandi Rhoades; brother, Jeremy Rhoades; and brother, Dustin Pinkerton. Also surviving is his grandfather, Wendell (Wilma) Hodge; grandmother, Rosalie Swearingen; aunts and uncles, Judy (Mike) Pauley, Frank, Clarence, Thomas, and Debbie Wallace, Eddy Pagett, Sandy Foster, and Rosie Scott; and nieces and nephews, Danyale, Symba, Josh, Amanda, Bradon, Cassandra, Jason, Justin, Dalton, Jaydon, Nyleah, Devon, and Kelsey; and numerous cousins including a special cousin, Brian Wallace.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Kyle James Pagett and Brenton Thomas Lee Pagett; grandparents, James and Omeda Wallace and Helen Pagett; and uncles, Virgil Wallace, Billy Wallace, and Jack Cooper.
Services were Jan. 17 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, with Pastors Dan Mayo and Wylie Perkins officiating. Interment was in the West Chapel Cemetery.
