James Michael "Mike" Cluxton, 61, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born in Jacktown, Ohio on May 23, 1951, the son of the late James Henry Cluxton and Audrey Juanita (Miller) Cluxton.

He was a member of the Peebles United Methodist Church, Hillsboro F.O.E. Aerie #1161, Hillsboro AMVETS Post #61, Hillsboro VFW Post #9094 and Trustee, Ohio Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his stepmother, Ruth Ann Cluxton of Peebles; longtime girlfriend, Sue Roush; sons, Chris Cluxton and Steven Cluxton, both of Peebles; sisters, Sue Carrel, Marilyn Jones and Melinda Musard, all of Columbus; half sister Helen Williams of Peebles; stepsister, Debbie Shupert of Seaman; and three grandchildren, Skylar Seaman, Brooklyn Cluxton and Wyatt Cluxton.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Brian Cluxton; one stepbrother, Chris Johnson; and one niece, Gina Carroll.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Peebles.

Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. with Eagles service at 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
