Howard Wilson Miles, 63, of Hillsboro, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born Aug. 4, 1947 in Crossville, Tenn., the son of Woodrow Wilson and Anna Mae Castleman Miles.
He had retired from General Motors after more than 28 years of service. Mr. Miles enjoyed sports cars, fishing and horses and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Leah Jean Fournier Miles; mother Anna Mae Miles Bryan of Crossville, Tenn.; daughters Kelly Ingram of Florida and Tami (Saudji) Darbyshire of Hillsboro; sisters Brenda (Kent) Walker of Centerville, Glenda (Randy) Shupert of Centerville and Rita (Joseph) Carpenter of Crossville; grandchildren Seth Darbyshire, Tyler Darbyshire, Aleah Darbyshire, Hannah Miles, Zoe Miles, Vivian Ingram and Scott Ingram; his best friend Luke; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Woodrow Wilson Miles and son Brett “Buddy” Howard.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Pastor Red Gallimore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 at the funeral home.
