Howard William Sievering, 66, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at The Laurels of Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 25, 1944 in Dayton, the son of the late Bill and Mary Webber Sievering.
Mr. Sievering owned and operated Howard’s Carpet Store for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay Davis Sievering, to whom he was married April 18, 1964 in Hillsboro; a daughter and son-in-law ,Peggy and Bill Rosselott of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsey, and Sarah Rosselott, all of Lynchburg; a brother-in-law, Bob (Ethel) Naylor of Lynchburg; a sister-in-law, Connie (Marvin) Resibois of Lynchburg; two aunts, Erma Coates and Doris O’Conner, both of Dayton; four nieces, Vicky (Jesse) Weaver of New Vienna, Pam (Ronnie) Williams of Wilmington, Tracy (Scott) Binkley of Lynchburg, and Stephanie (Mick) Binkley of Lynchburg; two nephews, Gary (Carol Ann) Naylor of Lynchburg, and Danny (Stephanie) Naylor of Cincinnati; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Lloyd Hewitt of Lynchburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law. Shirley Naylor, and mother and father-in-law, Hazel and Murrell Davis.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. The Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is serving the family.
