Howard R. Dailey

Howard Ray Dailey, 78, of Lynchburg, died Sept. 9, 2009 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.  He was born Jan. 27, 1931, in South Charleston, a son of the late James Chester and Inez V. (Wall) Dailey. He was a lifelong farmer. On Aug. 31, 1949, in Newport, Ky., he married his wife of 60 years, Wanda (Doster) Dailey, who survives. He is also survived by six children, Marcia Faye Hall and her husband, Robert, of Jamestown, Marvin Dailey of New Vienna, Larry Dailey and his wife, Nancy, of Peebles, Roger Dailey and his wife, Rita, of Piketon, Rita Storts and her husband, Brad, of Leesburg and Tom (Judy Storts) Dailey of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren, Brian Hall, Darin Hall, Brad Hall, Nathan Dailey, Justin Dailey, Katie Greer, Brandon Dailey, Derek Leeth, Chance Wilkin, Tyler Wilkin, Taylor Wilkin, Rilee Storts, Karli Adams, and Jacob Storts; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one sister, Erma Hines of Jamestown; and two brothers, Harlan Dailey of Jamestown and Lee (Joyce) Ison of Xenia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Dailey and James Chester Dailey.  Services were Sept. 12, 2009 at the Turner and Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
