Helen Louise Miller, 82, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Hearth and Care of Greenfield.
She was born Sept. 23, 1928 in Washington C.H., the daughter of Vollie and Ethel (Penwell) Downard.
She was a former employee of the U.S. Shoe Corp. of Greenfield, recreation director of Greenfield Civic and Recreation Center and was the first manager of Greenfield Meadows Apartment Complex.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Miller of Loveland; eight grandchildren, Rachel Sellman, Jamie Miller and Tiffany Miller, all of Hillsboro, Charles Miller, Jr., Steven (Erika) Miller, Michael Miller and Mark Miller, all of Radcliff, Ky. and Leah Damron of Wilmington; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher Cambell, Kaitlyn Sellman, Austin Sellman, Justin Sellman, Abigail Miller, Desiree Miller and Maria Miller; and one sister, Dorthy (Joe) Morgan of Punta Gorda, Fla.
She was preceded in death by husband, James (Bus) Miller on Jan. 15, 1990; two sons, Charles Miller and Allen L. Miller; four brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the Greenfield Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Burchett officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
