Harold J. “Snork” Kiewert, 80, of Hillsboro, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at his home with family by his side.
He was born April 25, 1931 in Waukesha, Wis., the son of the late Harold L. and Lillian Rasmussen Kiewert.
He was a retired machinist.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Zimmer Kiewert; children, Juanita (Mark) Vorhes of Camden, Ohio, Debbie (David) Roland of West Chester, Ohio, Donnie (Xiujian) Kiewert of Hillsboro, and Karen Morris of Pineville, N.C.; his grandchildren, Stacy Vorhes, Mandy (Jamie) Larreau, Jessica (Brad) Menefee, Jason (Darla) Frederick, Amber Roland, Lauren Roland, and David Roland; and great-grandchildren, Tiffany Menefee, Taylor Rose Menefee, Sara Renee Menefee, and Aiden Vorhes.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Peace Lutheran Church. Bob Skipper will officiate. Committal services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Arlington Memory Gardens in Cincinnati.
In lieu of flowers, donations are directed to the family c/o Turner & Son Funeral Home, P.O. Box 127, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 to help offset funeral and hospital expenses.
