Grace Hill, 90, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born Dec. 3, 1920, the daughter of the late Morgan and Mary (Krebs) Jones.
Grace was a homemaker and helped in family farming. She enjoyed crocheting and visiting with friends and family. Among many other interests, Grace also had a love for animals and leaves behind a dog and a cat. Grace resided for many years on St. Rt. 138 near Hollowtown. She was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens and volunteered at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband Granville J. Hill on Oct. 7, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward James Hill; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Hill; one great-granddaughter, Brandi Nichols; one brother, Everett Jones; two sisters, Florence (Jones) Hopkins and Naomi (Jones) Rutledge; and a special friend, Sam House.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Barbara Hill of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah (Hill) and Herman Aber of Hillsboro; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Mike Free officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bloom Rose Cemetery in Brown County.
Friends may call on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
