Gloria R. “Rosie” Huntsman, 76, of South Salem, died at 10:50 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at her home.
She was born March 20, 1926 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Wert Penwell and Mary Arledge.
Rosie had worked at the Edgewood Manor, Greenfield and at Candle-lite in Leesburg.
She married Carl R. Huntsman on May 30, 1952, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1981.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Gunter of South Salem; one daughter-in-law, Mary Huntsman of Valdosta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, April, Shannon, Carrie, Melissa, Brandie, Billie, Todd and Heather; several great and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Pat Arledge, Jane Arledge and Bonnie Hilderbrand, all of South Salem and Norma Stanforth of Martinsville; and one brother, Roland Stanforth of South Salem.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Arnold and Carl Huntsman; two grandsons, Heath and Carl; one great-grandson, Nicholas; and one son-in-law, Rocky Gunter.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor James Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery.
