Glenn Hershel McKeehan, 75, of Hillsboro, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born April 23, 1935 in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Rhoda Ellen McKeehan.
He was a member of the Sinking Spring Masonic Lodge #365; Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite; Hillsboro #441 Order of the Eastern Star; the Highland County Cattleman’s Association; and was active in the Highland County Republican Party. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He also built many self-planned custom homes throughout the Warren and Clinton County areas. He retired to Highland County to continue raising cattle and to enjoy retired life on the farm.
He is survived by his wife Carol Clarkson McKeehan, who he married June 26, 1954 in Jellico, Tenn.; three sons, Glenn Ray (Rheda) McKeehan of Waynesville, Mark (Deborah) McKeehan of Waynesville, and Dave (Sandy) McKeehan of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) McKeehan of Waynesville, Jeannie (Bruce) Rawlins of Trenton, Amy (Earl) Spencer of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Mac McKeehan of Leesburg, and Glenn Steven McKeehan of Waynesville; eight great-grandchildren, Brent McKeehan of Hillsboro, Elizabeth McKeehan and Katie McKeehan of Waynesville, Graham Rawlins, Calvin Rawlins, and Juliana Rawlins, all of Trenton, and Parker McKeehan and Christopher of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; two sisters, Margaret McKeehan of Williamsburg, Ky., and Addie McKeehan of Stanford, Ky.; niece Velma Helen Mead of Franklin; and nephew Harold Paul (Linda) McKeehan of Waynesville.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond McKeehan.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Graveside committal services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
