Gary Kennedy, 65, of Seaman, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Maysville, Ky. on Nov. 17, 1944, the son of the late James Paul Kennedy.
Gary attended the Seaman Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Adams Rural Electric Board for over 35 years, was a board member for Scioto County Milk Producers, was a member of the Ohio Buckeye Power Borad, was a fair board member for the Seaman Fall Festival, and was a member of Winchester Lodge #436 F&AM and Tranquility Cemetery Association.
He is survived by his mother, Janet (Fulton) Kennedy of Seaman; wife, Karen (Wills) Kennedy of Seaman; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon Paul and Krista Kennedy of Seaman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Scott Edmisten and Terri and Mark Davis, all of Seaman; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Bill Wilmoth of Seaman, Debbie and Darrell Simpson of Seaman, and Nancy and Ron Redduck of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Sarah Kay and Russell Blythe of Seaman; nine grandchildren, Tyler Sparks, Josh Edmisten, Shane Edmisten, Dalton Kennedy, Fulton Kennedy, Jenna and Justin Michael, Derrick Davis, Nathan Davis, and Karlie Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Seaman Presbyterian Church with Rev. Nate Manzo officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 3-8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman. Memorials may be made to Seaman Presbyterian Church or the Gary Kennedy 4-H Memorial Fund at any First State Bank location.
