Enoch Johnson Moore, 84, of Montgomery, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.

He was born in Laurel, Ky. on May 23, 1928, the son of the late George Dewey and Crettie (Payne) Moore.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bearl Edith (Kiser) Moore; his son, Enoch Lee Moore; and his brother, Dennis Moore.

He retired from Dayton Press and had served in the U.S. Army, Dayton VFW, and he loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Jerry (Janet) Moore of Dayton; two daughters, Patricia (John) Rowland of Hillsboro and Lesa (Ron) Alexander of Dayton; one brother, Jerry Moore of East Burnsteadt, Ky.; three sisters, El Faye Robinson of East Burnsteadt, Ky., and Lorraine Woods, and Bonnie Wheeler of Cookville, Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Greater Life Assembly on North Shore Drive.

The Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
