     Emma Agness (Bretz) Bloomfield, 93, of Hillsboro, died Friday, July 2, 2010.
     Her husband, Ivan Bloomfield, preceded her in death Dec. 6, 2006.
     She was born Jan. 26, 1917 in Lewis County, Ky., the daughter of the late Harvey E. Bretz and Jeannette S. Thompson Bretz.
     Surviving are two daughters, Berniece McGowan and Jerrie, both of Hillsboro; one brother, Elmer (Wilma) Bretz, and one sister, Bertha (Harry) Black, both of Maysville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Cindy Parsons, Chandra Gilletly, Candace Gilletly, Jason (Melanie) McGowan, and Jeff McGowan; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Jacob, and Meghan McGowan; and several nieces and nephews .
     In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Bretz.
     Services will be held at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Cousar officiating. Interment will follow in the Rabbit Hash Cemetery near Boston.
     Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
     Contributions may be made to the Northview Baptist Church, 1139 Northview Dr., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 in her memory.
