Elma Jane Wisecup

Elma Jane Wisecup, 88, of South Salem, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
 
She was born on Aug. 19, 1937 in Ross County, the daughter of T.T. and Ethel Ann (Robinson) Smith.
 
She was a 1955 graduate of Buckskin Valley High School and then attended Wilmington College. She was a member of the South Salem United Methodist Church and South Salem United Methodist Women.
 
She retired from Duncan and Phillips Law office of Greenfield, where she was a secretary for 30-plus years.
 
She is survived by one son, Joseph E. (Sharon K.) Wisecup of Chillicothe; one daughter, Lisa Ann Williams of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Claire (Kyle) Baker, Jeb Wisecup, Olivia Wisecup (Josh Rinehart), Sara Lucas, Logan Lucas; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Hunter and Case Baker; one brother, Donald E. (Janet) Smith of South Salem; one nephew, Zach Smith (Brittany Massie); and one great-niece.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Wisecup on July 5, 2016; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at the South Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Sam Mincey officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at the church.
