Ellen G. (Everhart) Knisley, 85, of Greenfield, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born May 2, 1925 in Bainbridge to the late Elwood and Mae (Cross) Everhart. She was the pride and joy of her family and friends.

Mrs. Knisley retired from Sugar Creek Packaging and Greenfield Products and was a member of the F.O.E. No. 1325 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 14 Auxiliary and a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Albert Knisley; two daughters, Karen Curry and Becky (Randy) Newsome, both of Greenfield; grandchildren, Karla Nicol of Naples, Fla., Kiley Baer, Kendra (Bill) Barnes, and Asheley Shumaker all of Greenfield, Michael (Tammy) Goen of New Vienna, and Ty (Anna) Goen and Brandon (Amy) Goen, both of Chillicothe; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; one brother, John (Irmgard) Everhart of Greenfield; two sisters, Betty (Herb) Buck and Marie "Sis" (Bob) Tillis, both of Greenfield; brother-in-law, Charles Benner of Bainbridge; sisters-in-law, Meleda Everhart of Greenfield, Janet Everhart of Indiana, Mildred Wright of Springfield, and Pauline Beeks of Fairborn; and very special friends, Louise Miller and Chuck and Carol Young.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-great-grandson, Calob Goen; two brothers, Jim and Ernest "Bud" Everhart; three sisters, Annie Everhart, Wanda "Sue" (Everhart) Benner, and Eileen (Everhart-Trent) Hudnell; and special friend, Rose Maston.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Dusty Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Church of Christ, 955 Jefferson St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123 or the Emmanuel Christian Church, 12281 Cameron Dr., Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
